Vietnamese Community Center
In 1988, our office was appointed by the Major of the City of Santa Ana to prepare plans for its first Asian senior center. The project was a multi-story complex with an emphasis on educational and community interest programs within a very limited urban site. Working with a board of fifteen directors, our office completed the design work within five months and the construction work within seven months. The project was developed in a very distinctive style with community approval. Our appointment as architect was based on our successful remodeling and rehabilitation background, and our proven ability to form solutions in difficult urban contexts.
