Rancho del Lobo
The custom complex was designed as a working ranch to be partially run by the owner’s church. The major portion of the complex would be private residential to serve as a private retreat for the owner and his guests. The plans called for an architectural program and ethic, for all structures, to appear as if they were part of the early 1900’s Victorian influenced "farm buildings." All the buildings were of the same theme: horizontal siding and corrugated "curly iron" roofing with a special acid washed finish that was combined with paint coverings as an antiquating process. The site was joined with five foot wide wood sidewalk and was fully accessible.
