Old Lloyd's Bank
Lloyd's of London, the owner, retained DKP to do a major renovation: a series of interior changes on a seven story, 70 year old bank building. The design and documents included conversion of bank offices to an educational/vocational school, utility service coordination, estimates, and alternative costs for its rehabilitation. Our eventual selection as the project architect allowed us to do the project in phases, which enabled most the tenants to maintain their occupancy. The work also included the development of three alternatives showing the cost estimates for each. The project included major tenant improvement work: disabled accessibility modifications, HVAC retrofit, and the update of existing complex security/electrical systems as well as decorative terra cotta refurbishment and detail painting.
