Fluor/Yanez Building

DKP coordinated this project with Redevelopment, NRHP and SHPA. The project was funded with private, local and 501C(3) funding. Our office performed the full A/E services for this building's entire rehabilitation and additionally supported the placement on the National Register (NRHP). This included contemporary HVAC and seismic work, hidden from view, keeping intact all historic fabric. The ceilings required removal for HVAC retrofit and replacement. Some were replaced using cost affective and energy saving lighting. The project was done in phases. One local note of significance: the upper floor was the original Fluor Corporation office. The City went on and placed over $100M in rehab in the local down town. DKP designed or consulted in over 50 projects placed on the NRHP.
